YOUTHopia 2023

Donegal County Council is hosting the EU funded YOUTHopia Future Fair on 27th April at Oakfield Park, Raphoe. This event is open to young people aged 16+ and is free of charge.

This one day event will feature an action packed agenda including keynote speakers Conor Reynolds, World Champion Freestyle Footballer, Jordan Casey, Tech Entrepreneur and Carmel Irandoust, Founder of NETLOVE.

There will be a number of interactive workshops on topics such as career pathways, skills for the future, creating a professional CV and LinkedIn profile and innovative project design.

A BBQ lunch is included and there will be free transport by coach from Letterkenny ATU and the North West Regional College in Derry.

Fun activities in Oakfield Park are also included such as Donegal Sports Partnership’s ‘Let’s Play Donegal’ activities and a freestyle football demonstration by Conor Reynolds.

There will be a number of promotional stands at the event with opportunities to meet local employers, to hear about careers in tourism from Fáilte Ireland and to find out more about EU funded projects in Donegal that have been of benefit to the region under Cohesion Policy. Udarás na Gaeltacta will be there with some Irish language and culture activities.

Donegal County Council is working in collaboration with the Assembly of European Regions, YOUTHopia project partners, Donegal Youth Council, the North West Tertiary Education Cluster and the Alpha Innovation Centre and others to bring this exciting youth focused event to Donegal.

YOUTHopia Future Fair is aimed at young people and will be a fun filled and thought provoking event covering a range of topics such as youth issues, skills and education, entrepreneurship, reconciliation, diversity, social inclusion and much more…
