Young Audiences Music Awards (YAMA)

The Young Audiences Music Awards (YAMA) is an award launched by Jeunesses Musicales International to honour creativity and innovation in the field of musical productions for young audiences, from all corners of the world, created by community groups, schools, NGOs, companies, bands and ensembles of all forms, from solo artist to orchestra.

Entries are unique musical performances created to awaken imaginations, stir emotions, address current issues, and motivate the further musical explorations of children and youth (aged 0-18).

How to apply

Applicants should send their application form and the DVD of the product (whether a full-length video, as well as a 2-minute promotional video in case the production, is selected as finalist).

For productions not in English, subtitles or a detailed summary are requested.

Prizes

Best Small Ensemble for Young Audiences (€1000);

Best Large Ensemble for Young Audiences (€1000);

Best Opera for Young Audiences (€1000);

Best School Concert for Young Audiences: (€1000);

Best Participation Project with Young Audiences:(€1000);

Public Choice Award (€1000).

All nominees will be officially announced in mid-October 2023 and displayed online via the YAMawards website.

The public will then be able to vote for all nominated productions online (one vote per person) and the nominee with the most votes on the 10th of November 2023 at 20:00 CET will receive the Public Choice Award.

The winners will be announced at YAM Awards ceremony which will be held in Sao Paulo/Tatui, Brazil on the 10th of November 2023.
