Join VSI’s ‘Youth for Climate Justice’ Project 2023!

Our Youth for Climate Justice Project is back! The project will bring together a small group of young people to learn about climate justice and how we can help achieve it. We will take a look at the climate crisis from a human-centered perspective, focusing on the inequalities caused by climate change and empowering young people with the knowledge, skills and confidence to advocate for climate justice.

Project overview

Starting with an in-person workshop on Saturday 25th November and continuing online in the evenings from 27th – 29th November, with a final in-person day on Saturday 2nd December, participants will attend interactive and informal workshops on climate justice. Participants will use this learning and work in groups to create a mini-social media campaign or poster on climate justice which will be shared by VSI. Interested participants will also be supported by VSI to organise and facilitate their own climate justice workshop in January 2024. Professional online facilitation training will be provided to these participants to help them deliver their workshop.

We’ll look at the climate crisis from a human-centered perspective, focusing on the inequalities created by climate change, nationally and globally, and recognising climate action as one part of broader action towards reducing inequalities and poverty, and creating a better future for all. We’re looking for participants who care about climate justice and want to learn more!
