This is the third year of the National Ploughing Championships which took place this year in Ratheniska, Co. Laois from September 17th to 19th. Tens of thousands of people attend each day of the event and Eurodesk Ireland were delighted to be invited back again this year to join the European Commission in the EU Marquee. Our Eurodesk Multipliers, Ger from InSync Youth Information in Naas, Co. Kildare and Regan from Youth Work Ireland Galway, attended the event to meet young people and share the many opportunities available to them within Europe. The EU Marquee was a very exciting place to be, packed with information and entertainment to promote EU opportunities
We were very happy to be joined this year by EURES, who provided information to both jobseekers and employers interested in the European job market. With our joint expertees we provided information on opportunities to work, study and volunteer in the EU
We were kept busy all day, meeting lots of interesting people wanting to know more about opportunities open to them in the EU.
We are already looking forward to next year!’
